Default Service Pack Version

Where do you find out what service pack the BES server is currently using?
Is it the same as most other apps, and it appears in the help menu, or have they tucked it away somewhere else.
Nothing is visible to me, so i'm guessing that either the server has not been service packed, or the sp details are not visible.

That is the version of the bes manager, mostly the same as the bes.
For the bes go to:
Control Panel, click on: Add or Remove Programs and select:
BlackBerry Enterprise Server for .....
click then on: Click here for support information.

Bob

The last digit does not represent the hotfix (i.e. 4.0.3.4) is not Hotfix 4.

I got the skinny on this straight from RIM. Unfortunately it's not at my fingertips (ok it is but I ain't gonna re-type it off the Berry). I'll post it tomorrow.

Here it is:
The first two numbers (example: 3.6 or 4.0) are the current release of BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The third number (4.0.3) is the current service pack. The final number is difficult to tell exactly what it means. Below is the current builds for 4.0 and as you can see it's difficult to distinguish what Hot Fix has been applied:

BES 4.0
Build # SP Level
** properties of the server
4.0.0.97 Gold
4.0.0.99 HF1
4.0.0.99 HF2
4.0.1.7 SP1
4.0.1.8 SP1 + HF1
4.0.1.9 SP1 + HF2
4.0.1.10 SP1 + HF3
4.0.2.3 SP2
4.0.2.3 SP2 + HF1
4.0.2.4 SP2 + HF2
4.0.2.4 SP2 + HF3
4.0.3.2 SP3
4.0.3.3 SP3 + HF1
4.0.3.3 SP3 + HF2

Difficult? No !

For the bes go to:
Control Panel, click on: Add or Remove Programs and select:
BlackBerry Enterprise Server for .....
click then on: Click here for support information.

Then you get exact Version, Service Pack and Hotfix. Just in plain English.

Bob

If you're running a Domino BES, you can just type "Tell bes about" in the Domino console to get the version and number of active users. Interestingly enough, the version you see here is different than the version listed in the "Add/Remove Programs" dialog. Very odd.
