Default Blackberry Device Settings

Please Login to Remove!

Is there anyway to standardise settings on the blackberry.

for example - when we set up BB's for new users we set "show images" to "no" in the browser configuration and set a specific homepage address.

is there a way to automate these kinds of settings?

and the main reason - when we wipe devices etc remotely anyway to reply these kinds of settings?

thanks

Ozzy

Some of the settings can be done by Policy, like browser homepage.
If you have BES 4.x + BlackBerryOS 4 use wireless backup (default on) and some of the setting will be backuped.

your in the wrong place

click on "blackberry domain" on the left

select global tab

click edit properties

then click on it policy, then select it policies, and click the ... button on the right

select default and click properties

find the browser policy settings, edit what you like.

Look for Home Page Address and Home Page Address is Read-Only.

More information on all IT-Policy are in the last section of the Admin Guide.
