Default Carriers offering free BES? details?

Please Login to Remove!

I've heard that Carriers (through RIM) are offering free BES small business edition for 5+ activations, and enterprise edition for 20+ activations.

Anyone have links to details of this promotion?

Nextel was offering this a few months ago for 10+ but I don't think this is still going on.

T-Mobile does this once a month or so. I'm sure they will be pushing it rather heavily for the next month in hopes of somewhat depleting stock of the 7290 in preparation for the 8700 later next month. You'd just need to get in touch with a corporate sales rep about the specials.

I have recently rolled out 20 Blackberry devices in my organization. I got each Blackberry for $50 (after rebates) (End of January promotion).

In addition, I was also given 20 BES licenses for FREE (also an end of January promotion).

In total I spent $1000 for 20 Blackberry devices - and that is it - NO OTHER UPFRONT COSTS - this was all through T-Mobile!!!

I could not resist.

Default GroupWise BES free

I got a 20 user GroupWise BES from Nextel when we ordered our first 10 units and an additional 10 user CALs for free. This was a back in August and I'm pretty sure they are no longer doing it.

GroupWise users can get a free Quick Start Edition with 5 users direct from RIM. And it works with GroupWise 7.
