Smile BES Licenses

I apologize in advance if this question seems silly. I purchased BES 4.0 Enterprise edition, however no licenses came with it. Can I just buy the cal's separately and use it with the software?

I would contact the seller and ask for the CALs. Usually the BES software package also comes with CALs (1, 5 or 20). I have never seen a package without any CALs.

Thanks for the response. Assuming the seller will not give them to me, will ala carte cal's work as well?

Of the 3 servers I mantain, all 3 came with 20 user licenses, and we bought hundreds more from Insight.com.

I'm not sure if this was a bug, but for a period of time I was running 100+ users in a 20 license server. Blackberry said it shouldn't work. But it did.

Ala Carte liscenses will work. We have over 400 users on our server and we frequently have to add new liscense keys to the server.

How do you add additional licenses? I see where to edit your current CAL. I have 30 users now and I want to add 5 more. I have the SRP but it appears that if I add my 5 additional users it will wipe out the 30 that I have. Is this correct?

Go into your Server Blackberry Manager (not the remote). Highlight the "Blackberry Domain". Click "Account", "License Management". This is how I do it with BES for GroupWise.
