Exclamation What is the best way to swap a users Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user with a 7290 and he will be swapping it out with a 7105T. What is the best way to handle this on the BES? Previously I have just deleted the account and recreated it, but this removes the stats.

The second problem this creates is that the Desktop manager no longer recognizes it as the same device. Is there a way to create a new profile in the desktop manager for the new phone to be able to connect to Outlook without uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop manager?

We are currently using Small BES 4.something...

Thank you!

Here are the steps I would use to solve your first question:

1. Connect your Blackberry 7105T to your BES server via USB
2. Open up the User's BB account in the BB Manager screen
3. It will then prompt you to say "this user already exists...blah blah blah". It will then ask you if you want to make THIS device the default for this user.
4. You then click "Ok" for the above question, and then your Enterprise Activation will commense.

You will however have to redo all the settings (phone, messages, screens, themes, profiles, etc).

I hope this helps!

When our users change devices we just swap the simcard and reset the enterprise activation password on the BES and reactivate it wirelessly. That way they can do it them selves and you keep all of your stats.
