I run Blackberry Manager directly from my own PC to create BB accounts.

I'm going to pass some of this off to another team, but when I look for the Install package, it looks like they will have to use the entire "blackberry server installation" package to just install the Manager. Then they have to install the most recent hotfix.

Is there not a smaller package that just has the BB Manager as standalone app?

If BES 4.0, you have to use the BES installation, but choose BlackBerry Manager from the first screen (on the left). It is a custom installation that will install only the needed files (pushes about 20MB total).

I am doing this now and Installed BM on my pc and SQL client. I can make a connection to the BESMgnt DB ok but when i go to Start, programs, BES, BM it tries to open then I get a popup that says "unable to connect to the database!". Do I need to set up something else?

I got it installed ok, just need to know if it is crutial to also intsall the same SP 4 on my pc.
