Our company tried the BES server for a few months and we think we are going to purchase. Howerver we want this whole lawsuit thing to pass prior to making the purchase. Our trial is almost up and wanted to know if we are going to run into a issue by uninstalling, getting another trial and reinstalling?

I think you can extend your trial, but you have to contact RIM to get a new code/key/or what ever they make you use.

It is very easy to get a trial version. Just visit http://www.blackberry.com/select/server/v40_trial.shtml and order a 60 days trial version for free.

Trail is for trail, not production. The whole lawsuit thing can take another years... RIM has already a work-around.
The license is only a part of the whole deployment cost.

Et Voila, problem solved!

I've run into many issues when changing the SRP from one temp to another. Very odd behaviour by the BES when you simply change the temp SRP to another temp SRP before the first one expires. It would kind of make sense in that RIM doesn't want to encourage people to simply jump from trial to trial without actually purchasing a valid SRP.

Connectivity issues have been the main problem. The BES sporatically drops it's connection to the gateway. Only after a FULL removal of the BES (registry keys, etc) could I get it working again with another Trial SRP.
