Default Lost BES connection

Please Login to Remove!

I upgraded my telus 7250 to OS 4.1 from sprint. Now i'm no longer connected to my corp email and calendar. This is fine, happened the last time when I went to 4.02. However, company tech people weren't too impressed when i told them the reason why i had to get reactivated. i.e doing the upgrade myself. They said, now they need to have the bes setup so that it reconizes one blackberry with 4.02 software. Is this true or are they just messing with me.

If i just told them my bb messed up this time and i can no longer get on. Would they just give me another password to do a wireless activation. I wouldn't have to tell them i did another upgrade???

Also would the old password they gave me the last time to do an Enterprise Activation work? that's if i can even remember it. I remember it started with Q

Thanks

Your EA password would expire when you successfully activated last time. The BES should not need to be upgraded to support your 4.1 OS.

Not to mention that you don't need to do a wireless activation in order to complete the EA process. Install/Upgrade to BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.1 (you likely did this already), make sure you have a connection to your corporate network and mail environment, plug your handheld in to your machine, and it should prompt you to either generate a new encryption key or it'll go ahead and start the EA process on your handheld already (its one of the first things mine does when I just leave it plugged in during the upgrade process).

Thanks. I just had IT reactivate my bb. I don't have bb desktop installed on my computer. I do have it installed in my home computer to add programs to my bb. If i got bb desktop installed on my work computer, would I be prevented from installing apps? Would there be a screwup by me trying to load my bb with 2 different bb desktops?
