Default BES 4.0 on Server 2003 Web Edition or XP Pro

Has anyone successfully gotten BES 4.0 for Exchange to load on a 2003 Server Web Edition or XP Pro? I have a spare 2003 Web Edition license for 2003 server (that I want to run under Virtual Server 2005 R2) on my Exchange server, and I'd like to use it for my BES server (3 users), or failing that, XP Pro under Virtual PC 2004 or VS2005R2...

I just hate to pay Microsoft for another full 2003 Standard license if I really don't need it...

Here is my own follow up... I loaded up a standalone Windows 2003 Web Server Edition this evening under VMWare 5.5.1 on my notebook. I did not load any service packs (ie w2k3 sp1), hotfixes, or the exchange 2003 system manager. I used my full BESX 4.0.3 installer, and was able to successfully add an eval cal auth key that I had (which I know is not in production) and the srp identifier / auth key... At this point, the install dies as there is no mail profile and will not continue.

I am therefore guessing if the install will go this far, then it will successfully complete.

I am running my BES install on a stand alone Windows 2003 Ent install.
Installs like and runs like a dream, we are running SUS, so my windows install is up to date with patches.

If the manager is installed for Exch. you should then be good to go. Correct.
