| well, the BlackBerry being tethered will only give you a connection from your computer to the internet through your carrier's APN. it won't allow you access to your company intranet without some sort of VPN client enabled/running on your computer. it won't use the MDS connection from the handheld to access intranet sites, to my knowledge, as the DUN connection is set up for your carrier. i could be wrong, but it seems logical that it wouldn't use the existing MDS connection as pseudo-VPN access.
