so, basically I want to connect my phone to my computer and browse my company's internal websites (of course I have BES on my phone and also have a separate browser that already gets access to our intranet). is this possible?

Yes it is possible, depending on the model BlackBerry you have. Please search and you will find a number of threads on tethering, with complete instructions.

well, the BlackBerry being tethered will only give you a connection from your computer to the internet through your carrier's APN. it won't allow you access to your company intranet without some sort of VPN client enabled/running on your computer. it won't use the MDS connection from the handheld to access intranet sites, to my knowledge, as the DUN connection is set up for your carrier. i could be wrong, but it seems logical that it wouldn't use the existing MDS connection as pseudo-VPN access.

I'm using a 7130e. I can already tether with my computer but it won't let me browse the internal websites. I thought there'd be a way around it since I can access it from my BB.

you're simply using your connection to your carrier when you're tethering - not to the BES (and intranet)
