Default Sent Items - 04-06-2006, 10:05 AM

I am new to BES. We utilize Lotus Notes, etc.

My question is this: When I am in the office, I either turn of my 7130e or turn of wireless, so it is not vibrating on my desk, etc. Well, when I turn it back on when leaving it Reconciles email, etc, with one strange problem. It is putting all sent messages in my inbox on the BB. I do have it set to hide sent messages.

Any thoughts on a setting, etc?

Thanks,

Brett

do you mean that you have set up a filter for sent messages or what do you mean that you have set it up to hide sent messages?

On the Blackberry itself, I have the option set to "YES" for Hide Sent items, so if I send and email on the BB, it does not show it in the in-box.

Where do you find that option. I have a 7100t. Can you do it on that?

I believe you might have to set up a filter on the 7100t. I do not know of that option existing...

From within the in-box, click Options, then General Options.

yeah with the 7100 you only get the option to hide filed messages. Have you tried creating a filter to see if that makes a difference?

You can prevent the BES from redirecting SENT messages to your device. Just go to the options menu in the Messages application on the device. Select Email Settings. Click the wheel and select "Folder Redirection". By default, the Inbox and Sent Folders are selected. Uncheck "Sent", and only messages received in your Inbox will be redirected.

This option is buried on the device, many don't know of it. Hopefully this resolves it.
