Default SP4 Install gone horribly wrong. - 04-06-2006, 02:12 PM

Just attempted to install sp4 on my BES for exchange.
It went almost the entire way through then stopped and said
"you dont ahve permission to install system services" and began to rollback.
I then attempted to re-install the software and received, no prior installation found aborting.

Went into services and they are all set to disabled, when i try and set them to manual and start them, they all say service marked for deletion.

any ideas? our tech support arent answering there phone.
I know i could probably re-install, but would prefer not to.

Do you have T-support?

Did you backup the database, export the user list and the server settings?

Ensure that you entered your service account password in correctly. I have seen this in the past and that has usually been the root cause.

When I've installed or upgraded 4.x it won't let you proceed with the installer unless the account info is valid.

Well still not sure what actually happened.
did a reboot and all services disappeared. Re-installed from scratch and was working fine. Once again tried to install service pack, but instead of hitting abort, we chose ignore and it ignored installing the services but it completed. Then tried it again and it installed the services correctly. pain in the arse but it worked eventually
