Default BES4.1 & Exchagne 2000/2003 - 04-07-2006, 09:31 AM

Hi all,

We're planning on upgrading our BES server on Sunday to 4.1. For the purposes of my question, let us assume that the upgrade is successful and we are running BES4.1 .
In a few weeks, we are planning on upgrading from exchange2000 to exchange2003. Ideally, we'd like to upgrade the users in stages. So my question is - Will we be able to have users on ex2000 & ex2003 on the same BES server?

TIA

might want to go ahead and upgrade to ESM 2003 and whatever service packs on the BES prior to the split infrastructure.

are you referring to BES service packs? or exchange?
(btw, i forgot to mention that the BES is on Standard Server2003 SP1 if that makes a difference).

Also, i take it then that it is possible. Is there documentation on how to do this properly? I've researched this site & googled it but haven't been able to find anything yet.

thanks.

I think what Jibi is referring to is that you owant the Exchange system manager to be a the highest level of any of your Exchange servers in your environment. Meaning that if you are in a mixed exchange mode 2000/2003, your exchange system manager on the BES needs to be the same as the most up to date exchange 2003 server in the environment.
