Default Outlook Calendar not Syncing from BB7510 - 04-07-2006, 01:32 PM

We recently installed a BES server version:4.0.4 Hotfix 2 (Bundle 9), Microsoft Exchange 2003, Outlook 2003.
We have 3 users on the BES server. Two of the users have 7520's and were setup on the BES server when they received their devices. The 3rd user has a BB 7510 and had been running a web client.
The two 7520's have no problems syncronizing with Outlook ver. 2003.
The 7510 is receiving and sending emails with no problem. When the user changes or deletes an entry in the calendar it does not syncronize with outlook.

The 7510 is running Blackberry Version 4.02.37

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

Has the user changed their PIM settings via the Desktop Manger to Wireless Sync?

Default hmmmm - 04-07-2006, 02:53 PM

When I changed the user over to the BES server, I installed the desktop manager on my machine, logged in as the user, and did a backup of the device.
I did not make any changes to the configuration on the desktop manager I installed. I did go into the calendar options on the 7510 and changed wireless syncronization to yes.
Would that be the same thing?

My only exposure to the devices is setting them up or when they are not working correctly. That does not give me much time to "play" with them.

Thanks
Tom

I also suggest deleting all the service books on the device - wiping is best - and doing a new Enterprise Activation.

Default Problem Update - 04-11-2006, 07:35 AM

It was brought to my attention yesterday that none of the calendars are syncing. Any changes made to the calendars on the BB's are not being sent to the outlook accounts.

Suggestions?

There are a couple threads that address this and we fixed ours last week by addressing the cdo.dll files on the BES and Exchange. I'm the handheld support not the server so I can't really list what they did, I just know I got the answer here and gave it to the BES admin and the Exchange admin and told them to play nice and fix the issue for my users! There is also some info about permissions on the BES causing the problem in a thread called "One direction wireless calendar sync"
