Just upgraded from SP3 hf4 to SP4 hf2 this weekend and half of my users (across all 4 BES instances) are showing up in the console as "Initializing." I've restarted services, etc. and still no change...even let it sit for 24 hrs with fingers crossed (lol).

Opening User Stats or Properties shows the users as "Running" with a recent last contact time and there doesn't seem to be any obvious impact to functionality, but this is a problem for the 3 persons that provide daily on-call support for our BB users...especially when User Stats doesn't always work if the user is on a remote Exchange server (6-12 users total in that situation).

I'm running Exchange 2003 SP2, BES 4.0.4.8, MAPI and CDO match up, java's up to date, etc.

Any ideas? T-Support not helpful thus far...

Finally heard back from T-Support that this is a known bug that will be addressed in one of the forthcoming hot fixes, fwiw.

They give you an SDR number? That sounds like a pretty bad bug!
