Question Cannot Receive Email (7210) - 04-11-2006, 11:36 AM

Blackberry device was wiped and assigned to a different user. Account established on the server and can send email, but device has never been able to download any new messages. When synchronizing with the desktop, it syncs the sent messages... but not the received messages.

Can anyone help with this?

thanks/j

Yes,

The desktop does not "SYNC" mail it reconcile's.
The only option is email prepop and you would need BES 4.0 or 4.1.

If you can send but not receive, chances are that one of the Service Books is corrupted. Try deleting the Desktop [CMIME] service book in the "Service Book" section. Then "register" the device again on the wireless network.
Another option is to go to the Enterprise Activation view (you may have to go through Settings->Options), and hold down the ALT key and type CNFG (numbers will be displayed instead). A new view will be presented. Select the "Wireless Sync" and change the option from YES to NO and save. Repeat the steps again and change the NO to YES and save. This simulates a soft EA and pulls down all the service books again. Should be good after that.
