I can't tell whether this was an existing problem or not... We're running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 and BES 4.0. A user with a blackberry is attempting to send to another user in our global address list. The problem is that the recipient user does not have external email (renamed smtp to l as opposed to and blocked send). Should this be possible or does bes only use smtp? I'm trying to figure out the process a piece of email goes through starting from a bb and ending up in a user's inbox. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem is that the recipient user does not have external email (i.e. their smtp address is l and not ). Should the user with the bb be able to send to any internal user regardless of smtp address? I'm also trying to understand the path a piece of email takes when going from the bb to another user's inbox. Any help would be appreciated.
