Default Activation completes, but says address book won't sync. - 04-27-2006, 04:05 PM

I've wiped it and removed and re-added the user to the server twice, and it happened both times. Any idea why I get this failure? It seems like all the contacts were pulled across successfully, so I don't know why it says it is failing.

We're on BES 4.0.4.6 for exchange.

I verified that all the contacts were successfully pulled over during the activation. Everything seems fine, despite the error. She had several distribution lists, which I thought may have caused it, but I also have distribution lists in my contacts and this did not occur in my activation, so I don't think that is the problem. I would still be interested in hearing if anyone else has encountered this error during activation though.

I've seen the error when the user has a 'blank' contact (meaning there was no name assigned to the contact).

Also had users who had one too many contacts and they got a similar error.

This has happened to me on two devices. Check out this post:

dev has a solution that seems to correct any synchronization problems.
