I am getting the following error message in the servers application log:

Source: Blackberry Policy
Event ID: 20000
Description:
Failed to acquire write access to the package cache path "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\PackageCache".

The server was removed from being an AD machine recently and I had to go in and rest all the services logins. I am wondering if I overlooked something else which is producing this error message?

Check the ownership of the folder specified. Make sure that the account that the Policy service logs in with has proper access.
