Default Moving a user to a new post office - 05-01-2006, 05:26 PM

We are installing a new GroupWise Post Office in one of our office and will be moving some of our Blackberry users over to it. Does anyone know what needs to be done on the BES side to keep things working, or will it not have any effect?

Thanks,
Scott

There is a KB on the BB.com site under GW BES 4.0. Esentially, you need to restart the BlackBerry Controller after the moves/changes are made. When the controller starts it spawns the processes that login into the user mailboxes, connecting to the post offices. This is were the user mailbox redirection occurs. If the users mailbox location changes, BES wont know until the controller restarts and attempts to log into the users mailbox again.

Of course since you are creating a new post office, you will want to ensure that the trusted application exists in the new PO or else BES won't be able to log into any mailbox. If its a new PO in an existing domain then you should be fine with this step.
