Can MDS be used to deploy BlackBerry handheld patches wirelessly. If so, does the device have to be re-provisioned in the same manner in which a non-wireless update does?

You can not push out handheld OS upgrades wirelessly. They must be done locally and via the USB cable.

Thanks....I thought so but needed to check as I could find no info on RIM's website. Nothing new there though.

we can think in this way... does not make sense to push handheld software wireless, imagine the amount of data sent over the wireless network for many users = time consuming + high cost...
