Default CMIME service book problem - 05-04-2006, 03:48 AM

Every time the user's synchronize the handset with the Desktop Manager, they are unable to send out mails. It gives and error as bad format. The solution is to have the Service Book Resent. The Blackberry server version is 4.0

I checked the CMIME service book. The values in CMIME gets changed after Sysnchronising the device with desktop manager.

More info - Mail server - Exchange.

Thanks a lot for the help.

The exact BES version is 4.0.2.8

Previously I had used Desktop Manager 3.6 With BES 2.2 so I think the version should not matter but still I will check using the older version of Desktop Manager.

If you have BES 4.0 setup to sync everything wirelessly, then the end users no longer need the Desktop Manager. Is there some reason that they still have it? I would completely remove Desktop Manger if at all possible.

Unhappy 7100g emails don't get to some emails acounts - 05-12-2006, 12:10 AM

Hi,

I just purchase BB 7100g. I am receiving emails in my BB, but the emails I send to some accounts (like ne...@prodigy.net.mx) never arrive, but when I send it to a yahoo or hotmail account it works very fine.

How I could fix this?

Default CMIME service book - 05-22-2006, 09:04 AM

Hello,

when we had similar problems on a 7290 we did the following:

Go to Options > Service Book and see that there is an entry for Desktop [CMIME], then it's usually that the service book has become unregisterred with the messaging subsystem. Highlight the service book (Desktop [CMIME]) click the thumbwheel and choose delete. Once gone, click the thumbwheel and choose undelete. This will bring it back and reregister it.

It's not a guaranteed solution, but much quicker than reactivating if it does work.

I got this advice from a other side, which i forgot. So should the original writer see this, the credits go to you whoever you are ;)
