Default BES Ports

Please Login to Remove!

I recall reading one of BB's PDF that you need to open port 3101 TCP on your firewall so BES can work. However looking at this original firewall were I am I see the also have opened ports 8100 and 8300 TCP to BES. What are these ports used for and are they needed?

Thanks
Andrew

8100 - Push Server Connection Listen Port
8300 - Web Server Listen Port

These shouldn't need to be specified on the firewall. MDS still operates within the SRP halo, so 3101 should open up everything.

if i am in the BES where do i look to see how my MDS ports are currently configured?

I have an application that is to be pushed to handhelds OTA asking for a "Push Port". The only ports I find under MDS are the Web Server and Secure Webserver Listening port. What I cannot find is the "Push Server Connection Listen Port" the jibi references. Thanks.

Update:
alright well in case anyone else was unaware of this it is the Web Server Listening Port. It can be found under the General tab of MDS Properties windows (r-click BES and Select Mobile Data Service Properties). As an added bonus you can view the BES MDS stats by typing the IP address followed by designated listening port. ie - 192.168.1.15:8080. Hope this helps someone someday.
