I'm wondering what's involved in removing exchange from a BES. We have a BES box and an exchange box. The previous admin thought you had to install exchange on same box as bes, and later learned the error of his ways.

So, everything is working, but we have this exchange install sitting on the BES box. ESM sees this as another exchange server.

I'd like to remove it if possible. I've stopped the services, but BES doesn't seem to like it.

Any suggestions?

Is this exchange on bes hosted users on your organization?
You may uninstall it using Add/remove programs then thats it.

Coz when you deploy bes it doesnt store any information of your users on the bes box but rather...its just a relay of your main exchange utilizing the MAPI profile....

Basically, you dont need to worry about removing it... coz you have your own exchange server...presumably.
