Default Phone Numbers disappearing from Handhelds in BES Manager

Please Login to Remove!

Have this prob where users phone numbers are disappearing from the 'Phone Number' column in BES - Handheld Management / Handhelds.

I've rebuilt one device and the number has re-appeared OK, but another phone number for a different device has disappeared from the view. Can still see other details defined for these handsets ie 'Handheld Model' 'BlackBerry Version' and 'Serial Number'.

BES ver

Any ideas much appreciated.

When you see this happend open the phone application on the handheld to see if it lists the number. If not try reloading the handheld software. This information is held in the SIM card but I don't beleive this is a SIM card issue.

Default This is a SIM card & Carrier issue

I have had this problem with SIM cards in the past. The issue is with the SIM card not being coded correctly. You'll need to call your carrier (mine is Cingular) and ask them to "refresh" the SIM card. Be advised they may ask that you have the device in front of you as they typically try to have the device OFF before they send the Refresh command through the system. That way when you turn on the device, it will be sure to get the refresh when the device comes up for air.

Good Luck!!
