Default Installing BES 4.0 - 06-02-2006, 03:42 PM

I'm tryign to install a BES server in an internal network with no outside connection to the internet. Is this possible. If so, HOW??

In theory I guess you might be able to install the software, but what's the point? In order for the BES to communicate with the handheld devices, it has to have internet connectivity (for example to : srp.na.blackberry.net) in order to route messages over the RIM network, etc.

Yes, I know, but it's basically in a testing environment, and we wil lbe using the simulators instead of actual BlackBerry's. The problem I come across is when I'm configuring the BES, theres a section that askes for the SRP to connect. Anyway around that?

Or, again, any other way to install the BES 4.0 or 4.1 without an internet connection?
