Default Sync _ALL_ messages? - 06-06-2006, 12:11 PM

Hey folks,

I'm trying to track down and reproduce a "feature" (probably a bug?). One of my users is set to only sync his inbox and sent-items folders, however, he can view any of his mailbox folders and is displayed with a list of all emails in them, no matter how old they are.

He has to request the blackberry to download these old messages he wishes to view, as probably only the header information is being stored on the unit.

He says that his blackberry is set to only keep messages for 30 days, but this doesn't appear to be the case.

Now... I have other users who have seen his mailbox/bb setup and want to be able to do the same thing. I haven't found a way to reproduce this properly, and his particular unit has been doing it sinch his initial activation on the BES.

Any ideas? Is it possible, or is this one user just lucky...

We're running BES 4.0.4 (Exchange). The one particular unit that displays this feature is a 7250 running OS 4.0.

Thanks,
-Joshua

I have never heard of this happening before. It sounds like one lucky user to me.
