Default How (if at all) will BES for Domino 2.6.x to 4.x affect handhelds?

Please Login to Remove!

Before we pull the trigger on our server upgrade, my boss asked me if I was sure the upgrade wouldn't clobber the operation of our 300+ users with 3.7.x on the handhelds.

I told him it was my understanding that when the upgraded server comes up the handhelds would continue to operate as before -- without any of the features that 4.0 would give them. This is correct, is it not? Understandably, he doesn't want to do the server upgrade and end up with a bunch of crippled users.

We would then proceed to upgrade the handheld OS's as time allows.

If there are issues or experiences I should be aware of, please elaborate.

Thanks in advance,

John Rowland

Default device ios < 4 unable to connect to BES 4.0

It was my understanding too but, apparently, all devices running an ios<4 were unable to connect to the upgraded BES server (from 2.2.5 to 4.0)

And now we are upgrading devices one by one

Since youre post : what's you're experience ?

Thank you
