Default Cannot connect to SQL Db

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, Newbie would like some advice if possible please!
I have a BES 4 server that was working fine connecting to another physical server that was running SQL 2000 SP3. All was well.
SQL server had the OS re-installed and from there it all went a bit odd. SQL server was not showing that SQL was installed and just looked like a bare bones setup. I reinstalled SQL over the top of what was there and re-connected the BESMgmt SQL database. I can see this fine in the SQL Enterprise Manager. During the installation of SQL the server changed from ServernameA to ServernameA\ServernamA. No doubt me entering wrong name. So in the SQL Server Service Manaer I can see ServernameA\ServernamA and Services as SQL Server running fine. Now, in BES I cannnot connect to DB when opening the BES Manager. Even if I run Blackberry Server Config Manager, it fails to connect with new details. What is going on!! Any advice or troubleshooting would be great. Kind regards

Sounds like the master table is missing entries. Using the Blackberry Server Configuration tool you need to create a blank BESMgmt database on the new instance (to create the master table entries). Then using the same tool create a BESMgmttest database (to unlock the BESMgmt DB). Now restore the original BESMgmt database over top of the existing BESMgmt db on your new SQL instance. Then using the Blackberry Server Configuration tool to connect your BES to this BESMgmt database. See Knowledge base document KB-03112 for more info.
