Post Folder re-direction does not seem to be working

Please Login to Remove!

Have a BES for Lotus Domino 4.1.0 Express server up and running.

Sync of messages, calendar, memos, address book, etc. working great, except for one issue.

Most of my Lotus Notes users have multiple folders in which to place email. I need for some of these folders to be available and populated on the BB device as well.

So I went in to BlackBerry Manager, selected a user (myself; I always test on myself! ), selected Server Access --> Choose Folders for Redirection

I checked off a few folders (made sure to select folders with emails no older than 7 days old) and then closed BB Manager.

Has been about 12 hours and while all of my folders can be seen from my device (within Messages I click the trackwheel and select View Folders), none of these folders (including the ones I selected last night) have any messages in them.

I've tried to force a reconcile (i.e. Reconcile Now) but no luck.

Have I missed a step or ???

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that only messages that are placed into the folder after you have made the changes will show up on the BB. Any messages that were in the folder before you made the change will not reconcile.

If you select Folders for Redirection and an enterprise activation has been done, existing messages will not be populated in the folders. Only new messages that are placed/redirected to the folders will appear on your blackberry.

I don't know of a way to get existing messages to appear in the folders, sorry

Default Still doesn't seem to be working

New or old emails are not there.

In Lotus Notes (and while I don't know for sure, I'm assuming Outlook too) a user can write "rules" so that if an email meets certain conditions, that email is redirected to one of their other folders (keeping it out of the Inbox).

I wouldn't think that this would be a problem though, but ???

Any other things that I can check? Maybe I need to wipe my handheld, recreate my User Profile in BES Manager (checking all the folders I want ahead of time) and then activate again?

Not sure.

Couple things:

- We have had issues with enabling folder redirection for personal folders on Handhelds. Sometimes a redirection change needs to be saved twice to work.
- During EA redirected folders are not included other then the inbox and sent folder.
- Personal annoyance, If I create a rule to move messages in a folder and then redirect that folder, any new messages show up in the main message folder on the Blackberry. Even if I have "hide filed messages" turned on. So to get them away from the main message folder I have to re-file the message once again..

Same issue here. Seems that the Blackberry only refers to "filed messages" as those that have been filed using the Blackberry. It does not hide those filed by Outlook rules. Quite the usability problem.

I am having the same problem. WM5 handled this just fine - it's really unusable if my exchange rules don't have any impact on my BB - i get way too many emails for my inbox to be usable.
