Default Help Password keeper wireless restore

Please Login to Remove!

The GM of my comapny had problems with his blackberry and the device ended up being reset. I am wondering if it is possible to restore his password keeper database wirelessly since he was enabled for wireless backup. After re-activating the device his password keeper is empty. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I know it doesn't help you, but after I had wiped my handheld & done an enterprise activation- the first time I opened Password Keeper, it detected the backed up copy of the database & asked for the password for this database, then downloaded it, all passwords, etc were back as before.

This has happened for a number of our users before & have not had a problem doing this in the past.

Do you know if your GM got the same option? He might have created a new password store instead. Not sure if you can get this back or not, haven't had much experience with BES so far, sorry.

I am 99% sure the Password Keeper data is not backed up wirelessly. I believe the only way to back it up is manually, via Desktop Manager.

Default Export from Password Keeper?

Is there a way to export data kept in Password Keeper into something like an Excel .CSV file, delimited text or anything else similar?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You should be able to restore the password software from the backup desktop software. You can go to backup and restore and then click advanced. Open the last backup before the blackberry was deleted and move the password keeper option and password keeper over from the left to the right.

Thanks, Taft - sounds like there's really no way of import/export other than the Desktop Manager, unfortunately.

(Side note - Nextel's really frosting me with their web client "upgrade" now that you can't access the blackberry.net inbox on a standard PC browser window. Grrrr.....)
