Default 7100g and BES 4.0

Please Login to Remove!

Upgraded to the BES 4.0 today and am still feeling my way. In box now shows all "sent" items not just from the handheld but also from the desktop! Anyone with suggestions as to how to deal with this "new feature"; I don't need to see all the sent items.

Goto messages->option->email reconsilition->folder redirection

Expand until you see a "Sent Items" folder and uncheck it.

Yeah why this is on by default I don't know...noticed this after my BES 4 upgrade last week.

Actually I'm finding the setting on the handheld in Messages|Options|Email Settings|Folder Redirection.

It's also in Desktop Manager under Redirector Settings|Advanced|Folder Redirection

I don't know either. But it's like that on every new device we setup. Annoying at best, but users can easily turn it off if they want to

Default BES 4.0 and 7100g

I am unable to get to redirector settings on my handheld; any thoughts?

Second, now that everything is syncing automatically the browser cannot connect. Would appreciate advice.

You mean the desktop redirector? You don't get it when setting up BB manager to work with BES. There's no need for it at that point.

As far as the browser not connecting. What error messages are you getting? Do you have any specific policy setting disallowing the browser?
