Default BES Upgrade 3.6 to 4.1 MAJOR ISSUES

Please Login to Remove!

So I took down the BES saturday night to give it an upgrade to 4.1, that I was ASSURED by RIM that it would go off without a hitch... WELL let me tell you ... nothing but problems. So anyway... long story short... The upgrade didnt work... i ran out of down time. So I took our backup server, wiped it and installed 4.1. I tried to get RIM to provide me with a TEMP SRP, so I could remove people from 3.6, and add them to 4.1, then transfer the paid for SRP. So the user didnt see to much down time. We have Tx2, and they would not provide a temp SRP, since we dont have a Tx3 contract. Wanted me to buy a Migration SRP. Now here lies in the problem... this BES has nothing up VERY HIGH ranking Officers in the military on it. I cannot schedule anymore downtime for something that was already supposed to done. Can anyone give me ANY guidance on what I can do from this point? Im stuck, and need to get this done ASAP. After all the promises from RIM that this would go off without a hitch, Im quite pissed that Im hung out to dry on this issue.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Although everyone you talk to at RIM should be providing the same information that does not always happen. RIM will provide a TEMP SRP to anyone that requests it but will only support it if you have a TX3 contract. Just wondering what the actual issue was and maybe we can limit any downtime which may occur.

What is the current BES version?
Where is SQL (local or remote) and what version?
