Default Replacement Blackberry - How to change PINs

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

My Blackberry was replaced today with a new unit. We currently are using BES. Is there a way in which I can "simply" change the PIN in the BES program? I really don't want to loose my filters and other settings. Both units are 8700's.

Thanks

If your connected to BES 4.0 or higher with everything synced wirelessly you simply need to get a new activation password. Everything will sync to the new BlackBerry during the activation process.

If you're not totally wireless, and you use Desktop Management Software on your PC, just plug in the new device - the software will detect the new PIN number and change it on the BES server. But everyone who used your old PIN to reach you needs to change your PIN number in their address books.

Thanks for the reply. I went into the BES program and generated a new password. That seemed to work very well. Thanks again.
