I know there are already a few threads about that kinb of problem, but either I am not good in english (what is true) or I am not good in Domino (what is also true!).

My problem is this:

- a Domino domain with Domino 5 or 6 something...
- a new Domino 6.5 installed especially for the new BES 4.1

Entreprise activation ok
First wireless synchro ok
No problem with email.

When I enter a new contact on the Blackberry, it appears on the lotus notes (version 6 something)
When I enter a second one, it never appears on lotus notes (it seems the blackberry never sends any signal to tell the bes there is a new contact).

- if i do an off/on for the mobile sychnro of contacts on the blackberry: there is no change

- if I do the same on the BES, there is no change

- I tried to do a new entreprise activation, erase the user et re-create it, it does not change anything

Hi all,

I have more info about my problem.

The users do their contacts synchro with an INote template.
They have to click on "Action - Synchro personal contacts" in order to synchronize their local contacts on the domain Domino server : version 6.0 on an AS400).

On the BES (with Domino 6.5.5), I configured the PIM like this :

Location: CN=DomainDominoServerName/O=Domain
Relative path: mail\user.nsf

If I make an entreprise activation with a new account, the blackberry synchronize wirelessly the contacts: if I enter a new contact on the blackberry it appears on notes. If I try again, nothing appears on notes.

So I tried the "old way", I tried to make a replica of one user's local contacts.
I tried to create a replica on the Domino of the Blackberry server, but an error window told me I did not have sufficient rights to do this.

Can anyone help for this problem ?

I did not try to create a replica of the user's names.nsf on the Domain Domino Server. I don't know if that should work or not.

Can anyone tell me on which Domino server I should create the user's names.nsf replica: on the Domain Domino or on the BES Domino ??

There's no need to create a replica of the users address book. The address book that the BES is syncing with is a hidden view (Which you can see if you hold down CTL ALT and open the mail file).
Every entry in the address book needs to be synced with the mail file. This is what you need to do.
1. add an address to you address book on the desktop.
2. Sync the address book with the mail file by opening the mail filed and then going to action/sync address book (Not sure if this is the exact wording, but it's something like that).
3. wait for the wireless sync to go to the bb.

Make sure you have wireless sync on the address book. If you're not the BB admin, ask the admin to add the name of your mail file to the correct location in your profile.

Now, if you make changes/additions to your address book on the bb, it will sync to the hidden view in the mail file. Go to the mail file and the address book with the hidden view by go to the mail file and action/sync address book. (remember, this might not be the exact words, but you'll see it).

You will only see these options if your template is a inotes template.

I just noticed that the applciation event journal is plenty of NotesConnector error (event 20000).

Do you think this can be related to our problem ?
Eventually, does anyone have a document that can help concerning "NotecConnector" errors ?

I don't think it's related. Did you try to set up the way I mentioned?

In fact it was already as you said.

When I created a new user, I entered for the PIM (contacts):

CN=....
mail\username

During entreprise activation, the first synchro during activation was ok.
After, when I entered a user in the contacts of the bby, it appears on the lotus notes. (we see that the bby synchronizes with the bes, we can see the arrows)

If we try to enter a new contact, it never appears on the lotus notes: no arrows on the blackberry, no communication with the bes, even if i desactivate the sychro on the bby and I reactivate it, nothing change. Even if I try to force the synchro of the contacts on Lotus notes, nothing change.

Try the following:

1) delete/undelete Desktop[SYNC] service book
or
2) delete Desktop[SYNC] service book + resend service books from BlackBerry Manager

else if... create in BB cannot gets to Notes
=> add BES explicitly as Manager in ACL of mail file....

Hello,

On the Blackberry Device go to the address book and then...

Open the Address book
Opent the menu and then go to options
Under options check to see if wirless syncronzation is enabled. If not then enable and then save and close. If wireless syncronzation is already enabled then disable save and close. Then re-enable and save and close. The contacts will then begin to sync.
