Question Missing Calendar Entries Issue resurfaces

Please Login to Remove!

In our Environment we have Exchange 2003 running SP2, BES 4.0.4.6 (bundle 7) which is SP4 with NO HOTFIXES installed and Outlook 2002 SP3.

Upto this weekend we were running SP2 on BES before I upgraded it to SP4. I have now has two users (VIPs- delegates) who have informed me that recurring meetings have randomly disappeared from their Managers Outlook Calendars, who have relatively busy calendars (and Inboxes).

1. User A is a delegate of User B & C
2. User A setup a recurring meeting on behalf of user B, inviting User C prior to the service pack upgrade, which was accepted and recorded in Outlook.
3. User A sent an Update for the recurring meeting on behalf of User B, and then accepted the request on behalf of User C which was accepted fine.

Then she later noticed that the meeting disappeared from User C's calendar but is still in User B's calendar.

Our Users DO NOT accept meeting invites via the Handheld.

I have checked the versions:
CDO.DLL is 6.5.7638.2 on BES and Exchange
EMSMDB32.DLL is 6.5.7638.2 on BES
MAPI32.DLL is 6.5.7638.1 on BES and Exchange

Also last week we applied MS06-29 Security Patch which Broke BES, so to get things working I gave the BES Service Account READ & WRITE permissions to all Users Mailboxes. Iam I missing some other rights or could this be contributing to the issue ?

I spoke to our support Company and they said that they recommend installing Hotfix 4 for SP4. any other ideas ?

I think applying the Hot Fix is a great first step. Let us know how that works.

I have not installed any hotfixes yet. Iam trying to findout why they told me install hotfix 4 and then removed it from the download page.
