| BES 4.1 vs 4.0 Please Login to Remove! I am new in BES administration.
I have a newly installed 2K3 server with BES 4.1, SQL2k and Lotus Notes 6.55.
I've encountered a lot of strange issues that RIM tech support is unable to resolve and I am answered that it is normal and by conception.
For the time being I have 27 test/pilot users "Enterprise activated", the server is guzzling around 2 Gigs of RAM, I had a lot of pain to get the enterprise activation working properly, sometimes a handheld does not synchronize anymore, I have to reboot the server in order to fix a strange issue like enterprise activation not working before reboot but working fine after reboot, handheld internet brower unable to display a certain website and being answered by RIM tech support it was working in v. 4.0, doesn't work in v. 4.1 and will work again in v. 4.2... A very professional behaviour from the tech support guys.... No solutions just words...
Well, to make a long story short I am now willing to reinstall on an identical server as above a BES v. 4.0 and I hope it will go better and smoother than 4.1.
As I've started with BES 4.1 I would like to know if anybody got some similar problems and if using the v. 4.0 can fix the problems I have.
I know RIM modified a lot of things in 4.1.
Beside this, what are the differences between the two versions?
My users are not too concerned by the fancy features, they just need to get their emails. Personally I would just like to deliver a stable service for the rest of my users when the production time is coming. I will have around 100 users at this time.
