Default Delete phone call logs from BES

Please Login to Remove!

I have a bunch of users with 7520's and there phone call logs get huge. They are not the brightest users so walking each one through deleting the log would be bad. I usually sync the device thru USB cable and delete log thru Desktop Manager, but since they are connected thru the BES that option is Grayed out.

Is there a way to delete them from the handheld thru the BES? Is there a way not to back that log up at all??

Thansk for your help.

I do not believe it is possible to delete the phone call logs from the server. Either you delete the entire database (for that user) or nothing. I thought in BES 4.1 you have the option to not backup the phone call log. Not sure on that though.

You can disable the Phone Call logging in 4.1 through PIM Sync Policy Group -> Disable Phone Call Log Wireless Sync.

As far as I know, there is no way to delete the phone call logs from a BlackBerry through the BES.

On the BlackBerry...

On the Messages screen, press ALT + P to display just the phone call entries.
Click the Trackwheel and click on Delete Prior while on the latest date.
