Our setup: BES 4.0.4.9 HF3
Lotus Domino Server 6.5 (no clustered servers)
Blackberrry 7290 running handheld software v4.0.2.49
BES and I both have manager level ACL on my mail db

Email reconciliation settings:
Message Services: Desktop
Delete on: Handheld
Wireless Reconcile: On
On Conflicts: Mailbox Wins

When I open email on my BB, it marks the message "read" in Notes. When I open email in Notes, it remains "unread" on my BB. I want this to be the other way around. Is this possible? Are my settings wrong?

Oops! My bad - messages opened in Notes take a while, but *DO* change to "read" on my Blackberry. And that is fine - I just want messages that I open on my BB to remain as unread in Notes.

Hey Marcia, no such setting or any registry tweak that I know of... I was looking at this previously, RIM said no such settings available...

BES actually takes the features of unread/read marks reconcilation at server-level through Notes API calls and not at user-level. perhaps future releases of BES will improve... perhaps RIM can include a new handheld side function under messages option - "mark message unread on handheld only"????
