Default Database corrupt? HELP !!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

we have bes 4.0 running on our current server. The last migration done wasn't a clean one, so as a result, if I click on some user's properties in Blackberry Manager, it shows two server names under Device Status

(BES01**BES) Running

Is there any way to repair this entry?

The users which arent corrupted only show

(BES01) Running [which is our current server name]

We are migrating to 4.1 and the migration fails as it is unable to verify the BES server name (can only find BES01)

Thanks in advance

You'll need to delete those users and add them again as a user on the 2nd server. Remember the when moving a user from bes1 to bes2 the user still has to go through the enterprise activation when you move them.

So deleting those users with 2 server names in their status should clean up the database and allow me to migrate to 4.1 ?

Yes. Delete them from the bes2 server. Look on the bes1 server and verify that the user is NOT still listed in the bes1 server also. Don't migrate him, just add him to the bes2 server and start enterprise activation.

Thanks for your help.

After speaking to management, they are pushing for a clean install of Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1 on a new physical server. We have a trial SRP key and 5 CALs to go with them. Our current BES is 4.0.

If I was to image a new physical server, install SQL Server 2000 on it, install BES 4.1 (without going to 4.0), and add the mailboxes to it (after taking the old BES 4.0 server offline), would the users be repopulated and can they be activated over the air?

Again, thanks for all the help.
