BES 4.1 Express

I am receiving / sending mail just fine on my phone, my calendar was working great up until recently when it stopped getting updated for some reason.

No changes to my exchange server, no changes to BES server, basically no changes anywhere.

Thoughts?

This normally happens when the BES Server begins to exhaust the number of threads available with the exchange server. You will need to restart the server (not the services) to clear this.

This is normally indicitive of a MAPI problem, or poor server communication.
I normally reboot my BES Server on a monthly basis just to clean out cooties like this anyway.

BES is installed on the same server as exchange, so there shouldn't be any type of communication problems.

And if emails are making it to my phone, that would point to no error in communication either.

I will reboot the server tonight for giggles though.

What account are the BES services running as? If they are running as a Domain admin then you will not be able to do CAL sycn from HH to Outlook because the Domain admin account has it deined by default. You will need to switch service accounts. Search BB.com sites for switch service account and you will find the kb.

I would try to toggle on/off the wireless synchronization on the device. This happends often where i work.

So go to your calendar --> options

Wireless Synchronization NO

Go to your message and do a reconcile now

Get back to your calendar options and toggle it to say yes.

This is a 5.5 server, and the account BES is using is the service account that was used when 5.5 was installed, so it has rights to everything in exchange.

Domain Admin account is only denied by default in Exchange 2000 and up.

Yup, Sorry did not know it was 5.5.
