How can you tell when BB is activated fully with BES?

Default How can you tell when BB is activated fully with BES?

Hi,
I manage to get BES Express installed and started the activation process. It seemed to stall at the stage where it told me my email address.
So I tried to cancel it on the BB but it would not, so I took out the battery and restarted it.
When I went back in to Ent Activation it showed a whole load of components which of 11 seemed to complete, the rest just stopped.
It stayed like that for ages so again I took the battery out.

When I went back in to the settings after it had restarted, the Ent Activation has no email address or password in now, its all empty, apart from my PIN.

I sent an email to the account of the user I enabled for BES and it was delivered.

Blackberry manager shows the status is still "running" ?

Any ideas, is it still doing something?

Wireless enterprise activation consists of two main parts:
Part 1: Activation of the user account on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Part 2: Full Synchronization of the user's PIM information referred to as wireless synchronization.

I guess Part 1 has completed in you case, but the sync in Part 2 is not...

Thanks noname, I deleted the service book off the BB and resent it again, seems to be getting further now!

Hmm, it seems to hang on the address book and stay as incomplete.
All the rest show status as completed.

odd.

Large address book? Try delete and undelete Desktop [SYNC] service book to kick off slow sync again... Good luck!

No, only 100 or so entries I guess.
Ok, I have deleted the service book and resent it now. I will leave it a good 30 mins as advised by kpoland.

One thing I have noticed though, BES activation opens up a whole new world on the bb devices! I can access 192.168.1.x servers on my lan now etc, cool!

I'm not sure about having to switch to Entourage on my Mac for calendar etc, I havent got used to it yet! My other option is to run XP in Parallels and use Outlook 2003 maybe.

Ok, well it went much quicker then, maybe only 2 mins from starting the activation. However it has come up with an error message on the BB saying that:-
"Some databases failed to syncronize: Address Book"
