Question BES Desktop Manager and Firewall Ports - 07-19-2006, 12:24 PM

Could someone tell me or point me to any documentation which lists the ports that are used by Blackberry services?

I know that the BES talks to the BES Router on port 3101 and that the router talks on the same port to connect to the SRP host.

What I need to find out is which port(s) are used by the Desktop Manager to connect to the BES.

Our setup has the BES and SQL servers behind a firewall. The Desktop manager will be installed on a PC on the other side of the firewall and thus I need to find out which port(s) I need to open on the firewall for this to work.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I want to say I remember it being 4101, but I will keep looking for the document.

From the RIM document, Placing BES in DMZ, "When implementing least cost routing while the BlackBerry Router is in the DMZ, the computer that is running the BlackBerry Handheld Manager must be able to make a TCP connection to port 4101 of the server that is running the BlackBerry Router that is used by that BlackBerry device."
