Unhappy Reconciliation Woes - 07-20-2006, 07:48 AM

Hi,

I am in the lucky? position of having to administer two Bes's for two different domains one is Domino and one is Exchange.

The strange problem I have is that reconciliation is not working for two of the handhelds. One is on Domino and one is on Exchange! The rest are working correctly.

When a new email is recieved it is pushed to the Blackberry. But when it is opened on the Mail client it does not open on the Blackberry even if I use Reconcile Now.

To compound Matters the handheld on the Domino Server is an 8700 and the handheld on Exchange is a 7290.

I have a spare 8700 and I have tried assigning the user's to this and deleting the profile on the Bes and recreating it.

I really can't see what the hell is going on. Can anyone shed any light on this. I have searched the forums but can gather no real insight.

Thanks

John

Well if only two users are having issues on both versions of mail (Domino/Exchange) sounds the the problem is at the BB level. I am not sure what you meant by opened on the mail client, I assume it is notes and outlook you are refering to, did you mean that when they open an item in the mail client that mail will never show up on the handheld? If that's the case you may need to look at how the BB is reconciling. Delete on BB and mailbox should be set up.
So far it looks like you are working at the server level and should probably be looking at the BB level.

hey jlgreg35, it sounds like you are having unread/read sync issue here... if you are, check this out - KB-05253 Support - Unread marks synchronization is inconsistent between BlackBerry device and Lotus Notes mail database

Livelink - Redirection
