Default BES 4.1 logging question - 07-20-2006, 01:37 PM

hi all,

is there a way to log when a user uses his or her blackberry to send an email?
or when they read / view messages on the device?
i am insterested in seeing if certain users are even using their devices or are we just paying connection charges for nothing.

Thanks...

If you have a BES there are many usefull logs.

\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\

I know using 4.1 the log with MAGT in the title has information regarding when messages were sent to and composed by specific users.

I've also seen some other very cool tricks out there, to measure delivery latency, or to keep track of high priority users for instance. (O'Reilly's "BlackBerry Hacks" is a good read.)
