Default BES 4.1 Management Console - 07-21-2006, 05:23 PM

I upgraded our BES to 4.1. All of the BES components are on this dedicated box (management console, etc.). My next goal is to install another management console on a desktop for our helpdesk. This is possible, correct? Or an I misunderstanding? I thought the procedure was to run the BES installation on this desktop and select the Management Console during this install. Well, I do this and the install seems to go well, machine wants to reboot and I do, and when I log back on it requests to setup the database. I point to the database and I this is where the problem is, I get that the database can not be found.

Any suggestions? Pleaseee...

Run svrnetcn.exe and make sure TCP and Named pipes are enabled
Make sure MDAC 2.8SP1 is installed on the desktop
Make sure TCP uses port 1433 unless a different port is specified for BES
Make sure the location of the Database and auth mode is correctly provided
