I have one user out of about 25 who has recently received a new 7130e. I did the wireless activation and all seemed well. He has been having some issues though. He's getting mail fine, but it seems his address book and calendar are not syncing wirelessly. He has the settings for wireless sync turned on in his device, and the BES says they're on too.

Our BES is running 4.1 hf1
His device is a 7130e
His outlook is 2003 standard
Our exchange is 2003 standard on windows 2003 standard


I checked my user/bb and am having no issues. I also checked and the CDO.DLL is the same version on both. I've also tried removing/readding his user to the BES and having him to a wipe handheld + new activation.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just checked and mapi32.dll is also the same version on both.

And the permission look fine on the mailstore. I imagine if either of these was the issue other users wouldnt work.

Try synching the Blackberry over the wire using Intellisync,see if that works.

With HH Code 4.1(7130g) uses 4.1.0.327) a new problem emerged where if an Address Book entry is missing all of the below fields,it does not sync

First name
Last name
Company Name
Now if that works:

May be you already checked this but do check he has Wireless Sync turned to Yes for both Address Book and Calendar

Address book and Cal issues are generally not related.Call RIM have have your MAGT logs investigated to find out the root cause.Its difficult so say more with the given information.
