to you BES masters,

First time posting to this forum, but I have been getting a lot of useful information off of this forum for almost a year.

So here is my problem. In the application log on the server where BES resides I keep getting an error from the BlackBerry Messaging Agent. And its only for one user in particular. This is the error I keep getting:
{*user's email*} AddRefIDProp() failed: ERR_FAIL, EntryId=6986
with Event ID: 20205

I am running BES 4.0 with the latest service pack on MS Exchange 2003 also with the latest service pack. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We see this same warning event many times a day. Does anyone know what it means or how to resolve it. I have not been able to find any type of article about this warning.

We had this issue as well, try reloading the user. It seemed to clear this up for us.

dyzs is correct, just to add, you may want to restart the service and or in some instances, rebooting the server from an OS level helps because the Messaging Agent Service Failed and unable to restart.
