Angry BES Attachment Service has stopped working

My first attempt with BB support resulted in the tech hanging up. My next three attempts got me no where, they would not let me speak to that tech. I asked them to have him call me at 1pm. Interesting enough he didn't, so now I am back on hold, anyway...


We had no distillers in the BES configuration. I got them re-added, and restarted the service, we still can't get attachments.

Any ideas from anyone? We are on version 4.0.4.5, we upgraded on Thursday. This problem started after a full server reboot today. We had rebooted the server on Friday morning as well, with no issues.

Well good luck waiting on the queue,share with us the resolution.

I am sure they will make you re-register few dll's which will not fix the issue and ecentually you may end up running a BES Repair,which may fail too.

Reinstalling the BES eventually will fix the issue.. :0)

I hope it does not go to that.. and they provide an easy fix

Default Same Issue

We had exactly the same problem, attachment service didn't work, re-registered the dlls for the distiller as they weren't there, but the re-reg added them. Status page still threw errors however, and the attachment test still failed. Talked to T supported, ended up re-installing the whole thing to get it to work, they had no other fixes. BES 4.0.4.5 on Domino. Sorry.
