Angry Calendar entires don't syncronise after Migration from Domino to Exchange using Quest

Please Login to Remove!

We are moving from Domino to Exchange, the Quest software tool is being used to migrate all the users mailboxes. We have BES 4.0 installed on Domino 6.5.4. We have BES installed on Exchange 200B3 Sp2 as well.

To move a user between BES's I am
- deleting the user from the Domino BES
- Migrating the Mailbox from Domino to Exhange using Quest.
- Clearing the Device using the Desktop manager software.
- Adding the user to the Exchange BES
- Running enterprise activation on the device to populate email, contacts and calendar entries.

everything works fine except the migrated calendar entries, they do not appear to be syncronising down to the blackberry. The entries do appear in the Outlook client but not on the device. Have had added new entries in outlook and they do syncronise down to the device.

has anyone any advice on how to get around this problem.

The calendar entries are most likely not being recognized as true "outlook" contacts. Have you tried editing a few of the migrated entries? How about exporting them as an excel spreadsheet and re-importing them again? If there are lots of users with lots of entries it could be nightmare.

Default Workaround found

Dev, thanks for the suggestion. Last night I managed to find a work around.

It must be actioned from the users windows profile and outlook profile (as opposed to adding the users mailbox you the admins outlook profile).

Exporting the migrated Calendar entries to a .pst file and then importing them again (you have to make sure duplicates are overwritten with the ones that are imported) seems to place them in Outlook/exchange in way that the BES can see them as new entries. It then sends them down to the handheld.

It is a workaround not a fix, I am still awaiting a fix from Quest for this issue. The only other comment I have is that it will not send down entries prior to the current day.

Dev, thanks for the response.
